Archive for the ‘Applications’ Category

We have just created a new user id on Twitter (androiddecals).  This user ID is currently being used to test the API for our new apps.

Also.. new applications on the way.  Here are 2 that are currently under development.

#1) A Weight training application

#2) a Trivia application

This is all I can say for now as the rest of the information classified, and not available to the android base….. yet.

Notifications are now used to notify user when files are being saved, and finished saving.

This alone as taken over a week to figure that includes threading, to spawn.

Also, decided to create “The Wire” soundboard with help from a friend. Now available on the marketplace.

More applciations on the way… we are working on picking up a few developers to help with the workload.

Had another development spurt.  It was a rainy weekend here, so no outside stuff to take care of.

We have made some excellent progress on the apps, mostly during this process was a code rewrite.  This will help in the short and long term, understanding the application, where it breaks, and allow for easily adding new sounds and features.

  1. Finally figured out how to run a process in the background
  2. Used log.d(“DEBUG”, “This is some string and process”)  This works great, as using Toast or Dialog to send message was crashing the background thread.
  3. added a splash screen to HitchHikers.

Current Applications Version

  • HitchHikers 1.7.1
  • Animal Ringtones Full 1.1.1
  • Annoying Ringtones 1.2.0

Todo.. in process of being updated for this weeks release

  • Animal Ringtones Lite
  • Classic Ringtones
  • Classic Ringtones Lite

Future release

  • RockPaper Scissors
  • Tax Bash, based on above code.

Todo:

Add message to notify of when background save is completed.

Please note, QR Codes on the right for the applications are a bit out of date. Looking for an easy way to upload and distribute applications.

PS) spoiler, we are looking for mobile app developers.  We are growing, and will soon need to outsource tasks.  If you are interested, tweet me.

Aftering figuring out how to register on Alipay.com, Coulson Labs will be making available our US and Europe market apps available to China.  Due to complexities, and Chineses business license stuff, we will only be releasing free (ad-supported) version of our apps on the chinese marketplace.

Tax Bash …. lower you stress and blood level with this acarde/action game.

Remember a time when phones where analog, and rotary?

How about the old crank style phones?

Today we just released our first paid app.  Classic Ringtones – Lite and Full.

The full version allows saving as ringtone and notify, free version, of course just lets you play it.

This was a decisions to try an monetize our development efforts and generating some sort of income.    All funds generated will go into further and more advanced development efforts.
